“We’ve also brought intelligence into the experience that customizes the experience based on your activities.” “ is designed to be your work hub experience and help you quickly get to the apps, tools, documents, and content you use on a daily basis,” Microsoft’s Scott Schnoll writes in the announcement. I'm thinking there must be something in Azure AD but I am at a loss.Microsoft announced this week that and the Office 365 App Launcher will now provide the same user experience, a nice consolidation of what was previously two very similar but different interfaces. We can seem to find no information on how it was done or how to undo it.

Both myself and my partner here have searched very diligently to find out how to do this but all we get is how to add custom apps - nothing about how to put back default applications. If there was a way to hide those apps, there should be a way to undo it. I suspect that this was set up by the individual who put us on Office 365 but that was 2 managers ago and nobody from the old guard who was around back then is there to tell us how they did that (my suspicion was that he wanted to drive usage to the desktop apps). I know you can open Office Documents online, I just did it today and our OneDrive documents show up on the home page, but if a user wanted to use Word on the web, there is no app icon to do that. If you go to the basic Office page, if you click on the icon to launch the app center, you should normally see all of the basic Office apps (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) along with all the office stuff.Īt least that's what should appear.
